Opening the caps can be done, but you need to consume them immediately (or at least within an hour or so). High potency amino's/RCE etc in Synthagen are hygroscopic (attract water), and over time will reduce potency. NOTE: This is a problem (degradation) OUTSIDE your body, not inside. They're also not the best smelling/tasting things in the world. A byproduct, of using "best in class" amino's, RCE/orotic acid etc. We DON'T lace the products with preservatives like BHT, BPA etc to "maintain freshness". These chemical preservatives (usually seen in food but also in supps) are linked to immune dysfunction, liver damage and cancer.
To wit, look on a box of "Total Cereal". Label screams good source of a fiber, a dozen vitamins and minerals/anti-oxidants etc. You'd think this is healthy for you, correct? Think again. In the fine print, "Preserved by BPA and/or BHT... ". Check it out, next time you're in the grocery store!
