Less of a review than a look at how products should be dosed and labelled. I came across Ignite whilst browsing through the Predator store for my last order, looking at creatines and stim-free pre's. I looked at the label then at the price, then back at the label - and to this day I can't work out why a product like this get's so little attention. Few manufacturers use ingredients of Ignite's quality let alone does them as well.
Yes, it has it's downsides, first and foremost it's been discontinued. Part of the reason (which the manufacturer admits) is that the ingredients react in the tub and clump together - badly. Also, you don't use ingredients at doses like that and end up with something that tastes like candy.
The tub itself is a 30-serving (ignore what it says in the picture below), and comes in a very small bottle, which looks more like a tub you get multi-vitamins in. Open it up and once past the metallic seal you'll see a solidified pink-ish mass that smells acidic. As a former user of MAN's various stim-free products i'm well used to clumping and rapidly dealt with Ignite. On the downside, whereas freeing up MAN Clout was a one-off operation, when I returned to Ignite two days later it had re-solidified Not as badly, but I had to loosen it up before use again (and, yes, it happens every time). A serving is three scoops (for no other reason than the scoop is very small). As for taste, well mine is watermelon, and it does taste of watermelon - albeit watermelon with a not inconsiderable hint of battery acid.
And function? Well nitrates and citrulline work differently for different people. For me, rather than overt pump - which I get for the work I do - I tend to err to increased vascularity, and Ignite offers pure 'road map' grade. There's no 'energy' or stim component so don't expect that, but the muscle endurance is superb, as too (and unexpectedly) the aerobic endurance too - combined and you can not only eek out the odd extra rep but you can also shorten rest breaks to keep the intensity high. Finally, and I don't know if I can fully attribute this to Ignite, but there's a strong almost rage-level sense of drive, the sort of thing you get with DAA.
Anyway, if you can put up with it's solidified awful-tasting self, then at the price, i'd give what it one of the best stim-free pre's a try before it disappears into the pages of supplement history.
