That's impressive, dropping powerful pre-workouts and still being able to push through. I'd love to get more feedback from people if they try it..
Dropping Synthagen ain't pleasant. The best way I can describe it is that you feel "old" all of a sudden, LOL. It's like a suit of armor coming off, and the DOMS/feeling of being beat up again just sux.
There hasn't been any formal study with Synthagen on conditioned athletes. Having said that, I have several very high level competitors using it at w/power-lifting (the nationals). They're not doing anything extra recovery wise, so whether or not adding in ice-baths etc is necessary/additive I honestly can't say. I suppose it couldn't hurt.
Personally, I add foam rolling and that's it. Synthagen has literally turned the clock back 10 years for me, recovery wise. Maybe more.
You'll appreciate it that much more, as you age...
